Long-time writer and educator Christina Stansell-Weaver teaches courses in the field of Communication and has written historical essays detailing mergers, acquisitions, and corporate strategies of profit and nonprofit businesses located in the United States and abroad.
With a passion for equality, Christina designs her classes to promote peaceful and respectful communication among people from different backgrounds and with varying interests. She believes promoting learning and understanding of diverse perspectives in the classroom is crucial to developing thoughtful citizens that will positively contribute to their communities.
As an award-winning lecturer, Christina has taught at the University of Louisville and Eastern Michigan University. Her area of focus is Gender Communication, Nonprofit Organizational Communication, Interpersonal Communication, and Public Speaking. Her writing has been published in the International Directory of Company Histories and various other Cengage-owned business publications and databases.
Christina holds a M.A. in Communication from Eastern Michigan University. She lives in South Lyon with her husband, 10-year old twins, and two dogs. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring new Detroit-area restaurants.
